Serta Simmons Bedding LLC, the parent of two major mattress brands, announced in December it planned to relocate its corporate headquarters from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, to Two Alliance Center in Atlanta’s Buckhead district. The move, which was scheduled to take place by month’s-end, was preceded by a site search that included Illinois, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee.
In November, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the company was eligible to receive up to $50,000 in local incentives, as well as state jobs tax credits, and that the new headquarters would result in 110 new or relocated jobs.
A Serta Simmons spokesman said the move would not affect Simmons Bedding Co.’s brand headquarters in metro Atlanta or Serta’s brand headquarters in suburban Chicago.
