ISPA president Ryan Trainer updated attendees on regulatory compliance issues in the United States, focusing on mattress-recycling developments during his presentation at the 2015-2016 Market Forecast CEO Forum at furniPRO Asia in Singapore on Nov. 5.
Fellow forum panelists included Sylvia Weichenberger and Alessandra Tracogna, both partners from CSIL Centre for Industrial Studies, and Isabelle Brose, economic adviser with the European Panel Federation.
Trainer also took part in a discussion about the state of the U.S. mattress industry and market developments. In its second year, furniPRO Asia 2014 was an international trade fair and conference showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in furniture production, materials, components and services.
The biennial event attracted manufacturers, architects, interior designers, contractors and project managers, retail traders and suppliers from around the world. According to promoters, more than 2,500 trade visitors attended the event with 188 participating companies and brands from 32 countries.
The next furniPRO Asia will take place in Singapore in 2016.
