For the second time, publication Plastics News has placed post-industrial recycler Northstar Recycling at the top of its list of best places to work in the plastic-recycling industry.
The magazine’s methodology for naming the East Longmeadow, Massachusetts-based company as No. 1 in workplace satisfaction included surveys of employees, an employee-benefits analysis and a review of company policies.
Survey results showed that Northstar employees rated their employer highly in a number of areas. Employees cited an “amazing” work environment, the casual dress code, the number of company-sponsored events, excellent health-care coverage, remote-work options and more, a Northstar news release said.
“We have worked very hard to build a culture at Northstar that recognizes the hard work and dedication of our entire staff,” said Noah Goodman, Northstar president. “This acknowledgement is our employees way of telling us that we have succeeded.”
