Steve Beeker
Shifman Mattress Co., with headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, has hired furniture industry veteran Steve Beeker as national sales manager. He reports to Shifman President Bill Hammer. Beeker brings extensive home furnishings and textiles experience in sales, sales management, marketing, merchandising and manufacturing to his new position.
His career includes more than 25 years with home furnishings and textile companies. Most recently, Beeker was an industry consultant with S.E.B. Sales; previously, he was vice president of upholstery with Kincaid Furniture. Prior to that, he held senior sales positions with a number of category leaders, including Waverly Fabrics and Lexington Home Brands.
During his first few months with Shifman, Beeker is traveling the country meeting with current and prospective customers, and will attend the April High Point Market.
“Steve’s experience and industry knowledge will help Shifman grow its dealer base and expand into new markets in North America,” Hammer said.
