Licensing group Spring Air International, with headquarters in Boston, has signed its first licensing agreement with a German manufacturer. Boxspring AR, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen in southern Germany, will manufacture a full slate of Spring Air products and is to be the exclusive distributor of Spring Air mattresses throughout the country. Boxspring is a family-owned business headed by Holger Weinmann.
“Spring Air has been expanding across Asia over the past several years and we’re now focusing more on Europe,” said Eric Spitzer, Spring Air chief operating officer. “Our international community is growing dynamically not only because of the range of Spring Air beds that are being offered on a broader basis, but also because of the increased demand for our products by the overseas hospitality trade.”
The deal brings the number of countries in which the Spring Air mattress brand is sold to 32.
