U.S. Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard paid a visit to the Commerce, California-based headquarters of Hollywood Bed Frame Co., which in the previous 12 months has doubled the size of its workforce.
The congresswoman toured the facility on March 31 and learned more about the company’s recent growth from Hollywood Bed Chief Executive Officer Larry Harrow and President Jason Harrow.
Hollywood Bed manufactures and distributes bed frames, bed bases, platform beds, daybed hardware and portable beds to the retail and hospitality markets.
“I thank Larry and Jason for taking the time to show me their 90-year-old family business and for talking with me about ways to bolster American manufacturing,” Roybal-Allard said. “It’s so important that we maintain a strong manufacturing base in California’s 40th Congressional District and bring American jobs back to the U.S. That’s why I support legislative efforts such as the ‘Make it in America Challenge’ to foster American manufacturing growth by promoting U.S. exports, encouraging businesses to bring jobs to America and training America’s workers to meet the demands of the 21st-century economy.”
