Viking Engineering and Development, an automated bed foundation equipment manufacturer, has moved into a new, state-of-the-art facility, tripling production capacity and dedicating space for continued new product development, according to company officials.
The Minnesota-based company has relocated production and office operations from Fridley, Minnesota, to Blaine, Minnesota, more than tripling the manufacturing capability. The new facility will help Viking meet the demand for its automated wood fastening equipment, company officials said
This includes manufacturing the Scout, an automated bed-frame machine that automatically attaches Semi-Flex wire grids to pre-manufactured wood frames. In addition to increasing production capacity, the new location will have a test lab to support the development and testing of new products and improvement upgrades of existing lines.
