Chicago-based mattress licensing group Englander Sleep Products has signed an agreement with Slumberzone New Zealand Ltd., making that company its 17th international licensee. The deal gives Auckland-based Slumberzone the right to manufacture and market a complete line of Englander-branded bedding throughout New Zealand.
Family-owned Slumberzone was founded in 2005 by Ranjay Sikka, who also serves as company director. The mattress maker operates a 50,000-square-foot factory where it makes its own brand of premium innerspring, hybrid and specialty beds for the New Zealand market.
“We’re very excited to have teamed with Ranjay because of his company’s superior quality standards and affiliation with highly respected retailers,” said Kevin Toman, Englander president and chief executive officer. “We’re also pleased with our ongoing global expansion. Our new agreement with Slumberzone completes the licensing partnerships we sought in the Pacific Rim region.”
Sikka added that he looks forward to continuing to offer “the best sleep solutions to our customers through superior technologies, high quality and excellent service.”
