International Sleep Products Association events don’t happen in a vacuum. Volunteers from mattress suppliers who serve on the Suppliers Advisory Committee do their part to make sure those events are a success for all involved.
Formerly the Events Planning Committee and the Suppliers Council, this new committee merged both groups last year to address issues that affect suppliers. Topics include future ISPA EXPOs, Industry Conferences and other ISPA-hosted events. Whenever the committee makes a recommendation, it’s presented to the ISPA Board of Trustees.
At the most recent SAC meeting, members discussed issues related to contracting and marketing for EXPO 2016.
The objectives for the mattress suppliers committee include:
■ Planning events that advance ISPA’s mission to promote the growth, profitability and stature of the mattress industry
■ Taking into account the specific commercial, logistical and other relevant needs of suppliers, manufacturers and other event participants
■ Developing ideas to make ISPA events more cost-effective, efficient and worthwhile for all participants
■ Maximizing industry participation at events
■ Supporting and addressing supplier-related needs and issues as appropriate
■ And serving as a resource when supplier-related advocacy issues arise.
