The Therapedic mattress brand played a large role in Jakarta, Indonesia-based Massindo Group’s annual dealer celebration, which this year included a weeklong tour of Australia and New Zealand and a dealer awards ceremony. During a cruise in Sydney Harbor with 450 retailers and their families present, Massindo announced it will enlarge its portfolio of the Princeton, New Jersey-based mattress licensing group’s products, to include a wider array of Therapedic specialty, hybrid and innerspring beds. Massindo is adding Therapedic Agility and Buoyancy models, as well as an updated BackSense collection to its product lineup.
“It was the most extraordinary product launch I have ever witnessed in perhaps the most exotic of settings,” said Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic president and chief executive officer. “I am especially proud of what the dealers in Indonesia are doing with the Therapedic brand. They have embraced (it) with enthusiasm.”
Jeffri Massie, Massindo president director, said the new Therapedic products will appeal to a younger, upwardly mobile demographic: “We have been pleased with the response Therapedic is getting in the Indonesian market … (and) for 2016, we wanted to expand the number of models we offer.”
In an awards ceremony aboard a yacht, Massindo honored top-selling dealers, including three Grand Champions in Therapedic sales. Borreggine presented awards to two-time winner Stephen Sanjaya of Plaza Mebel, Benny Japardi of Subar Furniture, and Chandra Kristiyanto of Chandra Karya Furniture.
The 58-year-old Therapedic brand has 58 licensees on six continents.
