Pocket springs supplier Spinks Springs, a part of Leeds, England-based Harrison Spinks, has earned a German Design Award 2016 for Posturflo 3D. The unique microcoils won the Excellent Product Design honor in the Home Textiles and Accessories category. Spinks will accept the award at the council’s annual awards ceremony to be held in Frankfurt in February.
Launched at Interzum Cologne in May—where it also won an award—Posturflo 3D is the latest development in the company’s Posturflo line. The product uses Spinks’ patented technology to combine microcoils with breathable spacer fabric.
“We’re extremely proud to have won such an esteemed award. To have recognition at this level is very important for our business,” said Darren Marcangelo, Spinks Springs commercial director. “We are continually striving to produce innovative products which we can offer our customers and consumers, giving them an alternative option to ones that have been on the market for a number of years.”
