NEWS RELEASE WRITTEN BY ENGLANDER AND PUBLISHED, UNEDITED, BY BEDTIMES
CHICAGO, March 13, 2017—Englander® Sleep Products and Bedding World Co. Ltd. of Taiwan have signed a license agreement enabling Bedding World to manufacture and market Englander’s entire line of coil- and foam-based collections.
According to Englander president and CEO Kevin Toman, Bedding World will make Englander products in its 180,000-square-foot factory, which currently ships to 34 Bedding World retail store locations across Taiwan.
Representing the first bedding chain store brand in the island country, Bedding World is preparing to go public on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corp. (TWSE) this October and has plans to open additional stores in Taiwan and China in the near future.
Bedding World Co. principals Jason and Mark Chen said their company will be the first mattress firm in Taiwan to be listed and traded on the exchange, which was launched in 1972 and is based in Taipei.
The Chens also announced the launch of Angela Bedding, an innovative smart bed that uses fiber optic technology.
“We’re very pleased with our license agreement with Bedding World and with the growth and success that the company continues to generate,” Toman noted. “We look forward to a long partnership with what we believe is a first-class international bedding organization.”
Ranked in 2016 as a Top 10 mattress producer, Englander has 12 U.S. factory locations and coast-to-coast distribution of its products. With the addition of Bedding World Co., Englander now has 21 international licensee partners.
