Mattress Development Co., the licensor and a manufacturer of the Eclipse International and Eastman House bed brands, has hired industry veteran Thomas Rehwinkel as vice president of sales and marketing.
He reports to Stuart Carlitz, chief executive officer of the licensing group and principal of parent company Bedding Industries of America, with headquarters in North Brunswick, New Jersey.
“As our brands grow, we needed someone with the proven track record Tom brings to help us work with our licensees, and their current and future retail partners, to better sell and merchandise our products,” Carlitz said. “He has a wealth of experience with leading brands like Simmons, Tempur-Pedic and Sleepy’s that can be a real asset to all our customers. We are excited to have him on our team.”
