Corsicana Mattress Co., a major producer of promotional and moderately priced mattresses based in Corsicana, Texas, has named Chris Baker chief executive officer.

He succeeds Mark Kuchenrither, who left the company earlier this year after serving as CEO for the past year.
Baker, previously on Corsicana’s board of directors, is charged with executing the company’s strategic plan.
“I am excited to join the company from my board of director position to execute the strategy we built as a team and look forward to continuing our tradition of providing high-quality products and world-class service to our customers,” Baker said.
Before joining Corsicana, Baker was CEO of Boca Raton, Florida-based Hollander Sleep Products, a sleep accessories manufacturer. Prior to that, he held executive positions with textile and soft goods manufacturers WestPoint Home LLC, Springs Global, the former Pillowtex Corp. and others.
