U.S. mattress sales dipped in the first quarter of 2017, compared with the same three-month period in 2016, according to Bedding Market Quarterly, a sales trends report published by the International Sleep Products Association.
Sales of mattresses and foundations decreased by 4.4%, while wholesale revenues fell by only 0.1%, compared with the same quarter last year. The average unit selling price rose 4.5%.
