Family-owned mattress maker Diamond Mattress, with headquarters in Rancho Dominguez, California, has appointed industry veteran Donna Zett to the newly created post chief information officer.

Most recently, Zett was a corporate technology adviser in the San Francisco Bay area. Prior to that, she served in various capacities with Serta Simmons Bedding LLC and with National Bedding Co./Serta International and the Five Star Mattress division.
In her new position, Zett oversees Diamond’s information technology infrastructure, enhancing the company’s operating systems and overall performance, the company said in a news release. She also is responsible for consulting with President Shaun Pennington regarding product development and merchandising strategies.
“Donna has extensive industry expertise on a number of levels, and she’ll be a tremendous asset to our team and our company,” Pennington said.
Zett reports to Pennington.
