The Lenzing Group, a supplier of cellulosic fibers headquartered in Lenzing, Austria, has named Heiko Arnold chief technology officer, with responsibility for all technical departments at the company.
Arnold brings years of experience with BASF SE to his new post, where he oversaw major projects and implemented continuous operational improvements, according to a news release. He also has research-and-development know-how and an educational background in technology and the sciences.
“Lenzing is on a successful, dynamic growth course with the development and implementation of the new sCore TEN corporate strategy and that makes an increase in the management board to four persons a reasonable step,” said Hanno Bästlein, chairman of the Lenzing supervisory board. “His (experience at BASF) in major investment projects and in operational excellence makes Arnold a perfect match for the challenges faced by Lenzing.”
