Online mattress brand Leesa Sleep, with headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia, has inked a deal with home décor retailer West Elm for the sale of Leesa mattresses in 80-plus West Elm stores and on the West Elm website.
Leesa replaces Casper as the official mattress partner for New York-based West Elm, a member of the Williams-Sonoma Inc. portfolio of brands.
In keeping with Leesa and West Elm’s shared commitment to community, Leesa said in a news release that it is donating 1,000 mattresses to charitable organizations in communities where West Elm operates stores. Leesa continues to donate one mattress for every 10 sold as a part of Leesa’s One-Ten social impact program.
“After beginning our journey as an online-only company, we are thrilled to bring our product to West Elm’s stores, a brand that we believe shares our same mission in measuring success not just by financial results but by our impact on the world,” said David Wolfe, Leesa co-founder and chief executive officer.
West Elm President Alex Bellos said: “We strive to help our customers make conscious purchasing decisions that not only reflect their personal style, but can also positively impact their local communities and the world. We hope to offer our customers more than one way to make a meaningful difference through their purchases, whether it’s a Leesa American-made mattress, 100% organic cotton bedding or one of our many Fair Trade Certified products.”
