Purple Innovation Inc., maker of boxed-bed brand Purple, the first of the online boxed-bed brands to become a publicly traded company, has launched an innerspring version.
The Alpine, Utah-based company offers three models pairing pocket coils in the core with the company’s proprietary Hyper-elastic Polymer support layer. The pressure-relieving layer is a purple-colored solid gel poured in a grid formation.
The innerspring beds first were introduced in November 2017 at select Mattress Firm locations, according to a Purple news release. The three beds use 2, 3 and 4 inches of the polymer layer and are priced from $1,599 to $2,799 in queen sizes.
Purple was founded in 2015 by brothers Terry and Tony Pearce, who are the majority stockholders. The company reported net revenue of $190 million in 2017.
