Adhesive supplier SABA North America celebrated its 10th anniversary with acts of philanthropy.
The Kimball, Michigan-based company donated $10,000 to Save a Child’s Heart, an Israel-based nonprofit that funds life-saving surgery around the world for needy children with heart disease.
SABA also gave four diverse organizations $3,000 each, having sought recommendations from its customers and invited area groups to apply for grants. It received an overwhelming number of requests for funds and enlisted the assistance of SACH in choosing the four donation recipients.
Selected organizations were the American Heart Association; Hunter Hospitality House, which provides temporary housing for those caring for hospitalized loved ones at Port Huron, Michigan, medical facilities; Kimball Township Little League; and Musana Community Development Organization, which works in Uganda to provide health and education services.
“SABA has been a proud supporter of SACH for many years now,” said President Jim Turner. “We are also excited to celebrate our anniversary by giving back to other worthy causes including some in our local community. SABA’s corporate slogan is ‘A Strong Bond,’ and that’s exactly what we’re creating with our partners in the marketplace and the social environment by giving back.”
