High-end mattress maker Harrison Spinks is offering a collection of premium mattresses for retailers with next-day delivery to U.K. consumers’ doorsteps.
The Velocity collection is the Leeds, England-based company’s first off-the-shelf line of compressed and rolled beds for independent retailers. Meant to be sold on retailers’ websites and in-store, the collection offers a safe shopping solution in difficult times, the company said. Velocity comes with a 60-day comfort guarantee.
According to a news release, Velocity is entirely recyclable because it is free of foam, glue and FR chemicals. The collection has nine models. All use the company’s proprietary Cortec Quad glue-free pocket spring system. Some of the beds are two-sided. All use wool from the company’s farm in Yorkshire, England.
In North America, Cortec is sold as Flexecore in a joint venture with Hickory, North Carolina-based industry supplier HSM.
Consumers can order the new bed via a Harrison Spinks web portal that only can be accessed via retailers’ websites. The bedmaker has partnered with Panther Logistics for product fulfillment. Panther also offers a removal and recycling service for used mattresses.
“To be able to marry our return to work with the launch of the Velocity collection demonstrates just how important it is for us as a business to adapt to meet the needs of our independent retailers and satisfy consumer demand,” said Nick Booth, marketing director. “We have developed a slick and seamless solution for independent retail partners to enable them to offer high-quality Harrison Spinks products to consumers who currently need speed of response. We launched the collection on (June 1) and have a significant number of retailers already signed up, with an encouraging number of orders placed.”
