Narrow fabrics supplier Bo-Buck Mills Inc. has hired Carl Carpenter as vice president of sales and marketing. Following a training period, he will assume the duties of Executive Vice President Gary Richert, who will retire March 1, 2021.
Carpenter’s responsibilities at the Chesterfield, South Carolina-based company will include management of existing accounts and new business development, as well as overseeing advertising, trade show participation, web presence and overall brand management.
He brings 30 years of experience in the textile industry to his new post, including two decades with tape supplier CT Nassau Corp. as vice president of manufacturing. During his long tenure, he is credited with helping major mattress makers find new uses for mattress tape, turning it from a utilitarian component to a decorative accessory.
“Carl comes to Bo-Buck Mills with knowledge of our business, our products, our customers and potential prospects, as well,” said John Bailey, Bo-Buck Mills president. “We hope to utilize his unique background to leverage new business and drive Bo-Buck Mills to new levels of market share.” Carpenter reports to Bailey.
Commenting on his new post, Carpenter said: “Bo-Buck Mills has an exceptional reputation in the bedding industry for supplying quality products along with superb customer service. I am very excited to join such a talented team and to help build on the strong foundation they have established.”
