Sleep accessories supplier Malouf, with headquarters in Logan, Utah, has been recognized by a pair of design magazines for the packaging of its French Linen sheets. The sheets are wrapped in a cylindrical bundle placed inside a matching linen bag with hand-tied top.
The package design gives “consumers easy access to both feel the tactile finish of the sheets and experience the color within,” according to a news release.
French Linen received Graphic Design USA’s American Graphic Design Award. It also received an Outstanding Achievement honor at HOW Magazine’s In-House Design Awards.
“It almost goes without saying that we are incredibly honored by the flood of recognition we, and especially our highly talented design team, have received this year,” said Sam Malouf, chief executive officer. “Our commitment to detail—from packaging to product—continues to set us apart in an industry that demands inventive ways to reach consumers.”
Graphic Design USA’s awards recognize work done in-house and by design firms in a variety of media and industries. The HOW Magazine awards recognize work done in-house and are judged by a team that includes design professionals from, among other organizations, Coca-Cola and the White House.
