Employees of mattress maker E.S. Kluft & Co., headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, California, recently took part in a bike-building exercise for a charity, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad.
The bicycles, assembled as a team-building activity during the company’s annual sales meeting, were donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad. The organization received a financial contribution alongside the bicycles.
“I want to express how moved we are by E.S. Kluft & Co.’s generosity,” said Andy Purviance, director of Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, California. “Not only did they provide bikes for our kids and critical financial support, they showed our kids love, care and attention. It was a very special night.”
David Binke, Kluft chief executive officer, said he was proud of the work his team did for the organization. “It was very fulfilling to see the wonderful looks on the children’s faces when they realized the bikes we built were for them,” he said.
