Eclipse International and Eastman House, a licensing group that is part of North Brunswick, New Jersey-based Bedding Industries of America, held a licensee meeting during ISPA EXPO 2016 March 9-12 in Orlando, Florida. ͞
“We had many of our international licensees in attendance, along with all of our domestic factories,͟ said Matt Connolly, Eclipse and Eastman House president. ͞Some of the international licensees who attended included our factories in Australia, Brazil, Guatemala, India and Saudi Arabia.͟”
The company has 40 licensees, including seven in the United States, that together have a presence in more than 55 countries. Close to 50 people attended this year’s meeting in Orlando. ͞
“It was a great stage for our meeting to be held,͟” Connolly added. ͞”ISPA EXPO in Orlando was very well attended and we had much interest from many potential licensees and a couple of commitments, as well. We meet every two years during EXPO as a group to discuss marketing and merchandising plans. It’s a great opportunity for all to share their ideas and marketing efforts for the brands.͟”
A big topic of discussion was the Eastman House brand, which celebrates its 150th anniversary of continuous production this year. A special 150th Anniversary Eastman House collection launched at High Point Market in April. The luxury group features specialty foams, high coil counts and sumptuous fabrics, but opens at higher-velocity price point than the typical luxury collection. It retails for $999 in queen.
