Media, Pennsylvania-based foam supplier FXI has named Philippe Knaub senior vice president and chief technology officer.
In the new position, Knaub leads the company’s research and development initiatives. Diane Adams, chief marketing officer, has been overseeing the research and development department, along with the marketing department, for the past year. With Knaub’s appointment, she returns her focus to marketing. Knaub reports to John Cowles, president and chief executive officer.
Most recently, Knaub was global head of research and development for emulsion polymers for Horgen, Switzerland-based Styron, part of the Dow Chemical Co. He also previously worked for more than 20 years at Dow, where he held a number of positions, including global research and development director, project manager and global marketing manager. He has been published in professional journals and textbooks and is named in several patents.
