Fresno, California-based independent mattress manufacturer and licensee Pleasant Mattress Inc. has named Michael Stype to the new role of director of quality and compliance.

In the new role, he is responsible for quality assurance of incoming raw materials and output of new products.
Stype, who has 17 years of experience in mattress manufacturing, joined the company in 2011 as plant manager. He holds Six Sigma Green Belt certification, which he earned while working for Simmons Bedding Co. earlier in his career.
“Michael’s extensive industry experience is an unbelievable asset to us,” said Rion Morgenstern, president and chief executive officer. “His expertise will allow Pleasant Mattress to continue production of high-quality mattresses and ensure we are always using the finest components in our product line.”
