Mattress licensing group Spring Air International has hired Warren Coomber as vice president of national accounts and named Jennifer Groom director of operations. The company also promoted Brian Lundstrom to director of national accounts and added Theresa Martin as customer service specialist.
Coomber, whose post is a new one for the Chelsea, Massachusetts-based company, has more than two decades of experience in mattress sales. Previously, he was with the buying group Furniture First as director of sleep products and of the Mattress 1st stores. Prior to that, he spent 14 years with Sealy in a number of sales posts. He also worked for the former manufacturer International Bedding Corp., retailer SleepFit and manufacturer Kingsdown Canada.
“Warren will be instrumental in growing and strengthening our relationships with existing accounts, as well as helping to bring in new retail customers,” said Nick Bates, Spring Air president. “His range of sales and marketing
experience will be beneficial in developing and nurturing partner relationships while working to align our retail partners with Spring Air’s corporate mission.”
Groom previously was office manager for E&E Bedding. E&E is the recently shuttered mattress manufacturing plant owned by Spring Air International principal Ed Bates. In her newly created post, she is responsible for overseeing operations related to national accounts, production management and licensee purchasing.
“As our business continues to grow, we wanted someone with Jennifer’s experience to help improve our effectiveness and efficiency throughout the organization,” Nick Bates said.
Lundstrom joined Spring Air in 2017 as a customer experience specialist. In his new post, he is responsible for assisting in the daily duties and operations of the company’s national accounts.
Before joining Spring Air, Martin spent more than 26 years working for The Home Depot as a supervisor in the retailer’s contractor division, where she helped with process scheduling, budgeting, operations management and customer service.
