Industry supplier Leggett & Platt Inc. has appointed Jeffrey Tate executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 3. He replaces Matthew Flanigan, who is retiring.
Tate is a CPA who joins the Carthage, Missouri-based company with 27 years of senior-level finance, operating and general management experience with Dow Chemical Co. Most recently, he was vice president and business CFO for Dow’s $24 billion Packaging & Specialty Plastics segment. He also was a member of Dow’s portfolio executive management team. In previous roles, he was chief audit executive and director of investor relations.
He is a member of the board of directors for TCF Financial Corp., serving as chair of the finance committee and as a member of its audit, risk management and compensation committee and the pension committee.
