Wes Keever
Display and branding company Colonial LLC has appointed Wes Keever president. He is a second-generation member of the family that founded the High Point, North Carolina-based industry supplier. His father James “Jim” Keever Sr. serves as chair and chief executive officer and his brother James “Jimmy” Keever Jr. is chief operating office.
Wes Keever has spent the previous 18 years of his professional career in the family business and most recently held the title executive vice president of sales. He replaces Derek Ritzel who departed the company to lead manufacturer Blue Bell.
Keever praised both Ritzel and prior Colonial president Mark Hobson: “I have had the privilege to work with and learn from two outstanding mentors … both are seasoned mattress veterans who brought a vast knowledge and understanding of the industry’s key issues to Colonial. Having learned so much from both, it is a natural progression and a perfect time for me to take the opportunity to step in and build on (that) great foundation.
“Our clients have entrusted Colonial for many years to tell their story in-store. Our goal has always been to help our clients sell more mattresses and better mattresses and that will not change. We will continue to build on our customer centric sales approach and use consumer research to help our partners succeed in the industry.
