Mattress manufacturer Gold Bond, headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut, teamed up with its retail partners to develop the Smart Luxury Series.
The three-model collection retails between $1,999 and $2,499.
“Our retail partners were seeking a solution for boosting the quality of their sleep department,” said Robert Naboicheck, president of Gold Bond. “We jumped at the opportunity to work hand in hand with them to develop the Smart Luxury series. The collection provides retailers the ability to make more profit while maintaining costs. We are able to provide a high-quality mattress that is affordable for customers and is tailored to the retailers’ needs, hence the meaning behind ‘smart luxury.’ ”
The series — the 4500, 5500 and 8500 — features Leggett & Platt Inc.’s Bolsa unit with Quantum Edge coils, as well as 1,057 encased coils in queen size. The mattresses also include gel memory foam and wool.
The double-sided beds are dressed in a slate gray-and-black cover quilted with wool and finished with a charcoal-and-black border accented with a contrasting taped edge.
