Global Systems Group, the machinery division of Carthage, Missouri-based Leggett & Platt Inc., has announced promotions and a restructuring of its international sales leadership team.
The goal is to better align the global sales team with specific needs of customers, GSG said in a news release. Members of the management team are drawing on their diverse regional experience to direct sales and service staff within their assigned regions.
Paul Block, president of GSG sales, continues to have responsibility for sales in all regions, with a day-to-day focus primarily on Asia, the United States and, now, the Middle East, as well. He joined GSG in 2010, following the acquisition of his company Galkin Automated Products, and has a total of 30 years of experience in the international mattress manufacturing sector.
David Eidson was promoted from vice president and sales manager for the Midwest and Southeast United States to vice president of North American sales. He reports to Block and now has responsibility for Canada and the United States. Eidson has been with L&P for more than 30 years and has played a key role in the GSG sales team since 2004.
Robert Rumbarger was named vice president of international sales, also reporting to Block. Rumbarger has been with L&P for nearly 30 years. In 2006, he moved over to GSG as U.S. sales manager/Midwest and within a year was named vice president of sales for Latin America. In his new post, he oversees the European and Latin American markets.
The management changes follow the recent retirement of Todd Nechtem, former GSG president of international sales.
Mike Miller, GSG president, said, “This extremely talented group has decades of success under their belt. It provides great comfort knowing this team is serving our customers in their respective regions.”
